Tell us a bit about yourself and what you do:

I am part of the team at Edwards Law, a law firm consisting of eight lawyers across our offices in Tauranga, Auckland, Hamilton, and Hastings.  We specialise in employment law, though this field seems to grow by the day!  We assist both employers and employees with employment contracts, restructures, disciplinary and performance management processes, personal grievances, HR policies and advice, Health and Safety, COVID-related matters, ACC, privacy issues…the list goes on.

What do you like about working at Basestation?

I enjoy the range of people that I get to meet daily in Basestation, and getting to hear from people working in different industries.

Where are you most likely to be found hanging out at Basestation?

If I am not in my office, I am probably in the kitchen.  I drink a lot of tea, and I sample pretty much all of the different teas in the Basestation kitchen on a daily basis.

If you could add a floor to Basestation what would it be?

I could say something exciting and adventurous, but honestly, my first pick for an additional floor would probably be a library.

What do you do in your free time?

Outside of work, I am often out tramping in the Kaimai’s, or further afield.  I also do a bit of kayaking and mountain-biking.  The joys of living in the Bay of Plenty.

Let's end this with an interesting fact about you….

Not particularly interesting, but I studied Neuroscience at Otago University, as well as Law.  I can’t say that neuroscience comes up often in my day-to-day work, but I still have the lab coat, which is what really matters…
