Come Friday, entrepreneurs, programmers, designers and all round “doers” are embarking on a fifty four hour stint to solve problems with innovative solutions.

That’s the third annual Tauranga Startup Weekend.

It is going to be the biggest yet in the city.

And it is happening at Basestation.

Startup Weekend is a great fit for Basestation, the purpose built space for people whose business is powered by technology.
The opportunity to host the event came up in July. Little did we know then that, a few days out, the building would still be work in progress!
While the scaffolds are telling tales of ongoing tradies activity, Basestation is ready set go to welcome the eighty plus entrepreneurs and mentors come Friday afternoon.

The desks and digital signage are up, the network is tested, the projectors are zoomed in and the sound system is pumping out happy tunes throughout the building. Talking about final touches: the coffee machine has just been delivered.

Basestation is open.
