Workplace wellbeing at Basestation
Workplace wellbeing can cover a whole raft of issues, from mental health, physical health, a sense of belonging, eating well, and everything in between.
The definition of “wellbeing is the experience of health, happiness and prosperity.” Good health and wellbeing is one of the United Nations Sustainable Development goals, so it must be important - right?
It’s estimated we spend one third of our life at work - therefore it makes sense that workplace wellbeing should be high up there on the priority list! The World Health Organization (WHO) actively promotes healthy, safe and resilient workplaces for all.
New to Tauranga? How coworking can help you find your people
Are you new to Tauranga? Between 2013 and 2023, the population of Tauranga grew by 32.73%!
Moving to any new location is always a challenge, especially if you don’t have a large office with an established group of colleagues to go to during your working hours. Often it’s through work we forge our first friendships and start to cultivate social engagements.
Community Heroes - Spectrum Connection
One of the recipients of Basestation’s recent FREE OFFICE SPACE for Community Heroes is the small but mighty team at Spectrum Connections Charitable Trust. Since moving in at the end of July, co-founders Mary-Jane Du Toit and Rachel Crump have quickly become familiar faces within the Basestation community.
It wasn’t until I sat down with Mary-Jane (better known as MJ), and heard her personal story of what inspired Spectrum Connection, that I truly grasped the passion and impact driving the mahi they do.
