Tell us a bit about yourself and what you do:
Passionate about people, community building and business as a force for good! I am the Community Manager at The Icehouse. The Icehouse exists to help grow the engine room of the New Zealand economy – our SME businesses. We do this by accelerating the capability development of its business owners and leaders throughout all industries, all across the country with dedicated programmes, workshops and one-to-one advisory services! As community manager, I look after our alumni network and community strategy. I focus on keeping our business owners and leaders engaged with us and each other through online platforms, content (podcasts etc) and in person events. I absolutely love my job and the why behind the what. It’s different each day which keeps things exciting.
What do you like about working at Basestation?
I moved to Tauranga last year from Auckland, working remotely as an extrovert has its challenges! I love the community feel here, getting to know new people and the epic coffees from folk.
Where are you most likely to be found hanging out at Basestation?
Upstairs in The Icehouse office, come say hi! Or at Folk, enjoying a small FW.
If you could add a floor to Basestation what would it be?
Ooh, let’s go with Reformer Pilates Studio!
What do you do in your free time?
I am a big foodie, so café hopping, time with friends and family, beach and working on passion projects!
Let's end this with an interesting fact about you…..
My husband and I are pastors at a local church here in Tauranga called LIFE. It’s another amazing community to build and be a part of!
